The Design Process : Initial Interview A meeting is scheduled to visit your home. Our services are professionally rendered and a minimum retainer fee for standard size kitchen projects is typical. NOTE: The retainer fee is based upon the size and scope of your kitchen project. An overall project budget is discussed during this meeting. II. The Design Agreement/Contract Upon signing a design agreement with our firm, LDI's kitchen designer will measure the space. We will collect all visuals and samples you've provided as a basis for the overall theme and design. III. Appliance, Materials & Fixture Selection Appliances and fixtures are selected during a visit to local appliance showrooms. IV. Preview of Design Solutions A design solution will be presented to you, including samples of materials and finishes. V. Initiate Bidding Process Once you've approve a final design, LDI will provide construction drawings for obtaining cabinetry bids from local showrooms. VI. Project Management An optional service, highly recommended to assure your project is installed to NKBA standards. Upon selecting a contractor, LDI will attend construction meetings, schedule periodic inspections, and represent the Client during the construction phase. Attention to detail is our trademark. We've designed kitchens, libraries and family rooms with mid to high-end cabinetry lines and have the ability to create exciting space plans using intricate architectural mill work and interior embellishments.
